Running Assessment and Rehabilitation
Run stronger. Run longer. Run for life
Whether you're training for your first 5K, preparing for an ultramarathon, or simply want to keep running without recurring pain, our Running Assessment & Rehabilitation service is designed to help you understand your injury, improve running performance, and confidently keep running.
What is a Running Assessment?
A running assessment is a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment designed specifically for runners.
Your physiotherapist will begin by discussing your running history, current symptoms, training schedule, footwear, recent changes in training, and your goals. We then assess factors such as strength, mobility, balance, and movement control that may be affecting running performance.
Depending on your needs, your assessment may also include video analysis of your running technique. This allows us to look at how you move while running and identify factors that may be contributing to pain, reduced performance, or recurring injury.
The goal is not to find a "perfect" running form as this arguably doesn’t exist. Instead, we look for practical opportunities to improve how your body handles the demands of running and specifically which factors might be contributing to pain or decreased performance.
